There are three ways to experience the magic of The Lewis Trilogy—one is to enjoy the full-day epic event on either Saturday or Sunday, and one is by savouring each play over multiple days mid-week. Alternatively, book one play at a time and enjoy a weeknight performance of an individual Trilogy play. Check out the Season Calendar for a detailed performance schedule for The Lewis Trilogy.

**Weekend Trilogy performances are presented as a full-day three-play experience with one short interval and one dinner break. This Much is True will commence at approximately 7pm. Please note that the acts and intervals are subject to change.

THE LEWIS TRILOGY TICKETS

This Much is True is part of a three-play epic—The Lewis Trilogy by Louis Nowra. A 3 Play package acts as your ticket to the full The Lewis Trilogy experience (including Summer of the Aliens and Così), and is the recommended way to enjoy all of Nowra’s glorious Australiana.

Theatre tickets can be expensive. But since 2009 Griffin has proudly run its famous Monday Rush ticket program, ensuring people can see our shows at a price that is affordable to most. This applies to The Lewis Trilogy too.

There are three plays in The Lewis Trilogy—which means there are three opportunities to purchase Rush Tickets each week.

These $25 tickets will go on sale at 12pm on the day of the performance, and will be available over the phone or via the website on a first-come-first-served basis on the following weekdays:

Rush Tickets operates by an honour system. We ask that if you can afford to pay for a full-price ticket, please do so and leave the Rush Tickets for those who need them.

Do I have to see all three plays?
The Lewis Trilogy has been written and directed as just that—a trilogy. Griffin strongly encourages you to binge this Australian extravaganza in the same way you would Angels in America, The War of the Roses, or Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

You can experience the full three-play Trilogy in one of two ways;

1. Commit to a full day extravaganza in Louis Nowra’s very own beloved neighbourhood and book in to see the entire Trilogy on one day—commencing at 1pm on either Saturday or Sunday.
2. Pace out your viewings by attending individual plays at mid-week showings. Wednesday to Friday (with minor exceptions), we will be presenting Summer of the Aliens, Così and This Much is True as individual plays on different evenings. Check the Season Calendar to select your preferred dates.

Can I just see one play?
Summer of the Aliens, Così and This Much is True can now be booked one play at a time. Across Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, see Summer of the Aliens, Così or This Much is True by booking in to each individual play at your leisure. More ways to watch The Lewis Trilogy means more merriment, more flexibility and more love for Aussie theatre! Check the Season Calendar for This Much is True performance dates.

Do I have to see the plays three nights in a row?
No, you do not have to see the plays three consecutive nights in a row. If you choose to see The Lewis Trilogy across multiple mid-week viewings, you have the freedom to set your own schedule!

Do I have to see the plays in order?
We do recommend that you see the Trilogy in the order it was written; Summer of the Aliens, Così then This Much is True. However, don’t fret if you’re seeing it out of order—you’ll just get an equally exciting alternative experience!

How long is each play?
Each individual play in The Lewis Trilogy is approximately 90 minutes.

Are there intermissions?
Summer of the Aliens, Così and This Much is True do not have intermissions during each play, however, if you are attending a full-day experience, there are breaks in between the plays.

What time is each play if I’m coming for a full-day experience?
The following are indicative start and end times of each play on a full-day experience, however are subject to minor fluctuations on the day due to the nature of live performance.

Summer of the Aliens—1pm – 2.30pm
Così—3.15pm – 4.45pm
This Much is True—7pm – 8.30pm

If you leave the venue in between plays, please ensure you are back at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the next play.

Will there be Rush tickets?
On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 12pm, an allocation of $25 Rush Tickets are released for that evening’s performance. These can be purchased online, or for those who are unable to book online, over the phone.

What time should I make my dinner booking?
Most restaurants in the area will open around 5:30pm—we recommend making your dinner booking for around then to account for travelling to your dining location after Così if you attend a full-day experience, and with enough time to reach the theatre for a 7pm start for all evening performances.
