Griffin is passionate about welcoming as many people as we can to be a part of the stories we tell. There are heaps of ways for theatre lovers to connect with our productions, programs and events all year round.

Venue Access

Griffin’s residency at Belvoir St Theatre is an exciting opportunity to welcome everyone regardless of age and ability. The Upstairs and Downstairs Theatres have lift access and Hearing Assistance Service (HAS). Please notify our Box Office at your time of booking so we can best accommodate your individual needs.

Wheelchair and mobility access
Belvoir St Theatre can accommodate patrons in wheelchairs and also their guests. Please let Griffin’s Box Office know of any special needs at your time of booking so we can ensure that you are looked after. There is an accessible toilet in the foyer area and lift access to all levels.

There is one accessible parking spot directly outside the theatre which cannot be pre-booked. There is also parking available directly opposite the theatre after and in some surrounding streets—this is untimed from 6pm daily.

For those arriving via public transport, there is a lift at the Chalmers St/Devonshire St exit of Central Station, from the concourse to the street.

Companion card

Griffin is a member of the Companion Card program. The Companion Card program enables people with a disability who require attendant care support from a companion to attend our productions without incurring the cost of a second ticket for their companion. Cardholders must present their card when booking or purchasing a ticket. To find out more, we encourage you to contact our Box Office.

Closed Captioning

Griffin’s 2026 Main Season productions include a Closed Captioned performance. Captions can be viewed on a personal device and a complimentary digital copy of the play script can be sent in advance upon request.

Rush Tickets

Theatre tickets can be expensive. But since 2009 Griffin has proudly run its famous Rush ticket program, ensuring people can see our shows at a price that is affordable to most. Despite having the most affordable mainstage theatre ticket prices in Sydney, we acknowledge that these costs are not feasible for all theatregoers. Every Tuesday at 12pm, an allocation of $25 Rush Tickets are released for that evening’s performance. These can be purchased online, or for those who are unable to book online, over the phone.

Mob Tix

Griffin is proud to offer $25 Mob Tix to make sure that our work is accessible to First Nations folks. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from all communities are invited to access our discounted Mob Tix by getting in touch with our Box Office.

Griffin Amplify

Amplify is Griffin’s Audience Development program. In 2026, we’re deep diving with the help of some community engagement specialists to better understand our audiences and what they want from a theatre experience. Stay tuned for opportunities to learn more.
