Welcome to Griffin

Griffin is on the go as our beloved SBW Stables Theatre is undergoing major redevelopment. We’re partnering with some of the most exciting companies and venues around Sydney (and beyond) to keep bringing you the best of Australian storytelling.

Our 2025 Season will be hosted across many different venues, so make sure to check the location of your show.

Accessibility

Griffin is on the go in 2025 while the SBW Stables Theatre undergoes major redevelopment. Once completed, a newly installed elevator shaft will make the venue accessible for the first time in its history as a theatre. It will also be fully accessible to Disabled and d/Deaf artists and audiences, aligned to our principles of access, equity and inclusion.

While this work is underway, we are partnering with venues and companies across Sydney and beyond for our 2025 Season. More information on accessibility at our partner venues can be found on our access page.

Griffin is also a member of the Companion Card program, and offers a captioned performance for hearing impaired patrons during each of our Main Season productions. The Griffin team is happy to assist you with your individual access needs—email us or give our Box Office a call to enquire.

RUSH TICKETS

We believe that theatre should be financially accessible and our ever-popular subsidised Rush Tickets program gives audiences an opportunity to see Griffin productions at an accessible rate.

On a specified day every week at 12pm, an allocation of $25 Rush Tickets are released for a performance/s that week. These can be purchased online, or for those who are unable to book online, over the phone.

GRIFFIN AMPLIFY

Amplify is Griffin’s audience development program, connected to two shows a year in our season. We engage leaders and consultants specific to the work we make to work with playwrights and creative teams to welcome new audiences to Griffin productions. We publicise the activations included in our Amplify program on our social channels.
