The Australian Government is developing a new National Cultural Policy to shape the future direction of the creative and cultural sector and you can have a say in it.

The policy is currently open for public consultation and we want to help you shape your submissions.

In conjunction with @belvoirst and @caaperformance, we're hosting a freelance artist submission day in the Belvoir St Theatre foyer on Monday 18 May from 12:30-8:30pm. Our goal is to ensure that theatre's freelance workforce is heard and accounted for in the future direction of the sector at a policy level.

You can drop in at any time on this day and there will be representatives from all three companies to help you craft your submission. No need to RSVP, just bring yourself, your device and your great ideas and we'll have guidelines available for you.

We’re still thinking about Opening Night for SISTREN by Iolanthe 💕🥺

What a joy it was to share this blazing show with our Grif-friends—the vibes were immaculate and everything was pink and fluffy!

Massive thanks to Bourke Street Bakery for providing ever-delicious catering for the evening.

VIOLET NIGHT just got even hotter 🔥

We’re stoked to announce that after the performance of SISTREN by Iolanthe for trans and gender diverse audiences, there will be an exclusive free panel: a Q&A on Making Trans Work.

Here are your gorg panellists:
JANET ANDERSON (she/her)
CASSIE HAMILTON (she/her)
SUZY WRONG (she/her)

The panel is included in the price of your ticket (which is $35 btw!!) so make sure you stay for this added trans goodness after the show.

Don’t forget to grab your fairy floss! 💕
