Can I reserve seats at Griffin productions?
Once the redevelopment has finished, seating in the SBW Stables Theatre will still be general admission so you and your friends can book separately and still find a spot together on the night. All shows in Griffin’s 2025 Season are General Admission, but while we are on the go at other venues, you can always contact our friendly Box Office for more information!
Can I exchange my tickets?
Yes. Tickets can be exchanged for a $7 fee up to 24 hours before their intended performance (subject to availability). By becoming a Griffin subscriber, you access unlimited free exchanges (you read that right!).
Can I get a refund on my tickets if I can’t use them?
Unfortunately ticket refunds can only be done in select circumstances. Visit our Terms and Conditions for our full policy around refunds and ticket exchanges.
Where do I pick up my tickets?
As part of our Green Griffin initiative, we’ve committed to going paperless to help reduce our carbon footprint. This means that we won’t be printing tickets for collection. Instead, your e-ticket will be emailed to you three days prior to your performance. Simply make sure you have the ticket handy when you attend and you’re all set!
What are your terms and conditions for purchasing tickets?
All our ticketing Terms and Conditions can be found here.

What are preview performances?
Preview performances at Griffin are the first few performances of our productions. They can be really exciting—they’re the first shows the cast and crew have with an audience. Things may change during these shows in lead up to the official opening night and there is a chance the show may be paused by the Stage Manager. For this reason, tickets for Preview performances are a cheaper than In-Season performances.
To ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of your theatre experience, we’ve developed a comprehensive COVID-Safe plan that reflects the specific nature of our intimate venue.
Please note that we will update our plan regularly according to health advice and the needs of our artists and audiences. Please visit this page for the most up-to-date information. If you have any questions or need further details, please call us on (02) 9361 3817.
If you are unable to attend a performance due to illness, we will do our best to transfer your ticket to an alternate performance. Otherwise we will refund the cost of your ticket, or offer you a Griffin credit. All credit notes are valid for three years.
Tickets may be exchanged, with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Exchange requests outside of this timeframe will be granted at the discretion of our Box Office. Please email your request to [email protected].
Box Office
Your digital tickets will be emailed to you approximately three days before the performance, with a reminder the day before. Please note that our Box Office is completely contactless and tickets are therefore not available at the door. Simply bring your printed ticket or show the ticket on your phone and you will be scanned in.
The Box Office and The Penny Cook Bar will be open one hour before the scheduled show time.
