A Note from Lee, 25 October

25.10.18

OK Sydney. The Feather in the Web rocks! Our last show of the year is a great big splashy hit and you have to come and see it…everyone says so. It is original, silly, moving and audacious…a very Griffin way to usher in the end of the year.

And for all of us the way to usher in the end of a little era. Many of you will know Elliott, our Customer Relations Manager, who will soon be leaving us for a new adventure. He has changed your tickets, reprinted them, magically fit you in to sold out performances, organised your gift certificates and welcomed you to Griffin for over five years: which equals 24 mainstage productions and over 150,000 people through the stable doors. Woohoo! Elliott is an honorary Griffin for life and will always have a place in our hearts.

And welcome to Dom, who will be strapping on the Box Office roller skates, answering your phone calls and making sure your tickets are there for you…especially your new 2019 Subscriptions…what do you mean you haven’t subscribed yet? You know it’s on your To Do list. Get onto it, it’s nearly November!

And for those of you who have been waiting to buy extra tickets to see Omar Musa‘s Since Ali Died and Betty Grumble‘s Love and Anger, single tickets are now on sale. Sydney Festival launched last night which means we are all looking forward to a fabulous January of theatre and music and dance. I love Sydney when the sun shines!!!

I am away from the office for the next three weeks—I will send a postcard of course. Get in and see Nick Coyle’s play so we can talk about ‘the Aura’—a character  unlike any other in the history of Australian playwriting.

Happy end of Spring!

Love,
Lee
