This year, theatre lovers across the globe are feeling distant from one another without the unifying joy that audiences provide.
That’s why Griffin has created the #WorldsAStageChallenge—the DIY, online celebration of theatre that sets you the challenge of making the world your stage in the wake of theatre closures across the globe.
Here’s how it works: show us your own personal stage, wherever you are in the world, by recording yourself performing a snippet of your favourite play, monologue or performance piece (double points if it’s an Australian work!).
Your stage could be the shower cubicle, or the pantry, or the backyard. Your audience could be a housemate, a goldfish or a colleague on Zoom. The more creative, the better! Then, share your video and use the hashtag #WorldsAStageChallenge to show your love of theatre, spread some joy and support Griffin. We’ll even share our favourites on Griffin Theatre Company channels for the world to see.
