Often viewed as the unglamorous, poor cousin to theatre for grown ups, theatre for young people is a thriving sector both in Australia and overseas. Since the publication of the national TheatreSpace report, there is a growing awareness within theatre companies of the importance and possibilities of making work for slightly smaller people. Productions of Storm Boy and School Dance at Sydney Theatre Company and Pinocchio at the Malthouse are just the beginning…
Join Angela Betzien in a one-day intensive workshop exploring the wonderful world of theatre for young people. This practical workshop will introduce participants to opportunities within the sector as well as practical writing exercises to develop your new idea for the next generation.
